Charity Sing-a-long held in December 2011 in aid for Sarah’s Well www.sarahswell.org.uk In a country where clean drinking water is but a footfall away our mum Sarah died thirsty,following the illness Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) This left mum unable to eat or drink for the last three weeks of her life, during which time she would often say “I’d love a glass of cold water”, unfortunately due to the condition of her throat this was not possible. On 17th December 2010 mum passed into the Light and we were left devastated by her loss, but determined that something good should come from something so awful and so Sarah’s Well was born.

Rotary Ghana Project All About Water Village Interview

Rotarians stopping at a village near Ateiku, Ghana to check the quality of water from Rotary sponsored wells shared a conversation with a woman who described the positive effects clean drinking water has had on the village. She said she was the “queen” of the village and offered to make one of the visiting Rotarians the “king” if he could deliver another water well and electric power to the village.

Keiyo Soy Ministries of the Germantown Christian Assembly church sponsored the first World Water Day 5K Walk/Run-A-Thon on Saturday March 20, 2010. This event raised funds to help the pipeline water projects in Kenya, East Africa. A vision of Kenyan born Dr. Elijah Korich, this ministry provides clean drinking water from the mountains to villages in the Rift Valley. Masai Warriors Save 6000 Lives

Six Maasai Warriors ran the London Marathon in 2007 to provide clean drinking water to their community in Eluai, Tanzania, East Africa. This is the final result thanks to everyone that donated. A special thanks to Meserani Snake Park for making this possible. The pipeline runs 4.5 kilometers to the village. They drilled 35 meters down. The Maasai Chief blesses the drill before proceeding. The small children have never seen clear water nor have they ever tasted clean water.
